Boat License Information Sessions and Testing will be held on Saturday 26th October and Sunday 27th October at 11am and 2pm.
Each information session lasts one hour followed by examinations in the boat licence exam room.

Fees are payable at the SA Sea Rescue stand, where a receipt will be issued. Intending participants will be required to provide suitable proof identity such as drivers licence or birth certificate prior to the exam.
Upon successful completion of the
exam, a certificate will be issued which must be presented to service SA
along with a licence fee of $38 to have the licence issued.
between 12 and 15 years must submit to a further practical test in
their boat prior to issue of the permit. This can be arrange with a
Marine Safety Officer at any time after the written exam, but must be
within 6 months.
Intending participants should note that there is
no guarantee of passing the exam. The information sessions will provide
helpful tips and refresh knowledge but are not intended as a crash
course. Prior study may be undertaken on www.ondeck.sa.gov.au where a practice exam is available, and the SA Recreational Boating Safety Handbook can also be downloaded.
