Say g’day to Roothy!

If you’ve ever picked up an Aussie 4WD magazine and flicked through the pages, or even been to the 4WD and Adventure Show in the past few years, you’re sure to recognise this guy!

Raised in the South Aussie bush, John Rooth (Roothy) started his career as a travel guide in the Kimberley.

His passion is being outdoors, and his career has seen him working as a bridge carpenter, mines maintenance, bush mechanic, harvester driver, shearer’s cook, farm machinery, opal miner, gold prospector; plus various journo and photography freelance assignments including television and video presenting.

And these days, Roothy is well known across Australia for his knowledge of travelling, his fun-loving attitude and enjoyment of having a laugh; and of course mostly for his amazing good looks! For many years, Roothy has travelled the country in his old faithful 45 Series Toyota Land Cruiser named Milo….but now it seems Milo has been replaced – with Milo2!

Catch Roothy and Milo 2 at the Adelaide 4WD and Adventure Show this year. Roothy will be having a chat on the Engel Bush Camp Stage, and introducing this new beast to crowds. Work began on Milo 2 last August, so it’s more than a year in the making to get its at a stage to be critiqued. Is Milo 2 better than the original Milo? You be the judge!

Check out Roothy’s website for all his videos and updates; and make sure you come say g’day to Roothy at the Show!
